A great centre from which to walk. Short and long walks are available, with all trails taking the walker through interesting terrain. Lakes are one of the main attractions and are a reminder of the pioneer mining era.
The lakes have been revegetated and are picturesque at any time of the day- although morning and evenings add a special charm.
The Public Mine Lookout gives a birds-eye-view of the Greenbushes lithium operations and is popular with the local community and visitors. It overlooks the Cornwall Pit where tantalum ore was extracted in open-cut mining until 2003.
The lookout is one of the few opportunities in Western Australia for the public to view an operational mine site.

Ample parking and toilet facilities are available. No entry fee.
The lookout is situated at the south end of Telluride Street, Greenbushes.
Greenbushes Discovery Centre
The Greenbushes Discovery Centre provides a fascinating insight into the natural and cultural environment of the south west.
The Centre is open for ad hoc tours or group tours, by prior arrangement, and provides a comfortable and relaxing venue for tour groups to stop and allow travellers to stretch their legs.
A large natural water body in a bushland setting on Spring Gully Road. Great picnic area, including gazebo and BBQ, with children’s play area and toilets.
A boardwalk and gravel walk trail is provided around the perimeter of the pool, with interpretive signage.
